Principal Scientist in Search technologies. Exceptional individual that is expected to contribute strongly in search and information retrieval related research, with a special focus on applications for mobile and pervasive computing environments.Scope
Individual Contributor: Independently carrying out consulting, specific functional work within a Business Unit/Geography. Assumes broad perspective. Resolves unique and highly complex problems within own discipline. Makes decisions about own and/or project work using known solutions as basis. Managerial/Supervisory: Effective management of resources & development/implementation of plans and processes. Interprets policies and establishes procedures. Increased awareness and influence of other functions outside of own business area. Decision making often repeated in similar manner - able to choose correct solution or modify exisiting solution.Requirements:
Very strong background in academic and applied industrial research in the area of search technologies is needed. World-class broad expertise is expected at least on one of the following areas, and good knowledge on another one is an asset: Search technologies; Metadata management; Data mining; Document analysis; Computational linguistics; Web mining; Probabilistic modeling; Applied Artificial Intelligence. Proven track record of bringing research results into reality needed. Innovative mindset with the ability to seek actively new opportunities and contribute the key ideas to projects and programs is a must. Typically 10-15 years relevant experience.
