Polyurethane Senior Chemist

Position Description:

Areas of Responsibility:
1. Conducting product development, test methods development, technical service and production support activities.

2. Work closely with Sales to develop and recommend products as well as application equipment and techniques.

3. Assisting Manufacturing Operations in the development and implementation of new/modified processes to produce products, improve quality and increase profitability.

4. Provide input to manager on the workloa and resources required to ensure timely completion of projects.

5. Formulating new products in current market as well as any new product areas to expand the product line.

6. Maintain a professional image with both internal and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

1. BS degree in Chemistry with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in Polyurethane and/or Emulsion and Silicone chemistries.

2. Must be very innovative and resourceful scientist capable of conducting independent development and formulation of chemical specialties.

3. Must possess the written/oral skills necessary to effectively communicate complex technical information to colleagues with varied educational backgrounds.

4. Ability to organize and handle multiple projects.

5. Good interpersonal skills.

6. High degree of motivation and creativity.

7. Excellent computer skills are mandatory.
