PROSPECT RESEARCH ANALYST

Identifies and qualifies prospects for major gifts. Assists in maintaining prospect management program. Assists with maintenance of central files, research library, and evaluating research resources. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years experience in prospect research or a related field.
Proficient in recognizing wealth indicators and in identifying prospects. Understanding of what constitutes relevant and strategic information. Proficient in locating relevant information in a variety of formats: including hardcopy, telephone calls, online, and conversations with staff and volunteers.
Knowledge of primary resource providers of information (online and hard copy; government and commercial; internal and external). Understanding of information management in a database structure; ability to manipulate, retrieve, and analyze data. Awareness of the type and scope of data available on-line and search techniques. Proficient in synthesizing material from multiple sources into a coherent and accurate presentation. Strong sense of ethical conduct.4-year undergraduate degree in marketing, business, journalism, or liberal studies or a combination of education and related experience.
