Medical Technologist and Medical Laboratory Technologist

FHN is currently seeking a Medical Technologist and a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Medical Technologist Position Summary: Performs medical laboratory tests and procedures, and analyzes in all functional sections of the lab to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Reports test results, evaluates quality, troubleshoots systems and equipment. Maintains records of performance, quality control, remedial action plans, quality improvements and procedure manuals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.)in Medical Technology, and graduate from four-year college or university registry certified (ASCP, AMI, NCA or HEW/HHS), two to five years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Medical Technology ASCP, AMT with S or B At Biology. Chemistry, or Physics, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist NCA or Medical technologist HEW/HHS. OSHA Class I.

Medical Laboratory Technologist Position Summary: Performs chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscropic procedures in all functional clinical laboratory sections. Maintains records of performance, quality control and remedial action.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree from a CAHEA accredited MLT program or Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, of Physics and five years experience in one or more clinical laboratory areas. Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics and completion of a military laboratory training program of at least 12 months duration or; Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physics and CLA registry.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Medical Laboratory Technologist (ASCP)and OSHA Class I.
