Major Responsibilities/Activities

The Technician is responsible for the support of the Engineering and Production Departments including but not limited to prototype assembly and test of product manufacturing or applications engineering projects as required. This support may include, but is not limited to equipment operation, parts retrieval, and coordination of manufacturing processes, applying theory and principles of mechanics to modify, test and operate mechanical/electronic assembly/test equipment. Additionally, the Technician is also responsible for complying with quality systems and procedures as required in the application and support of assembly/test, production and engineering projects under direction of the Manufacturing and Engineering staff.

A. Essential Functions

Perform product, manufacturing or applications engineering support activities as directed. Direction will generally come from the Product / Project Engineers or the Director / Manager of Engineering as applicable. This will entail interface with Product Engineers, other departments within the company and external customers and suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
B. Qualifications
The Technician should have a two year technical degree.

C. Technical Requirements
Two years plus of related technical experience is desired, but recent graduates will be considered based on course work and grades.

Organizational Relationship

Reports directly to the Director/ Manager of Engineering. Has a working relationship with the managers of relevant departments or divisions. Receives support from engineering staff and supervisors to accomplish goals.
