Job Description

Senior Research Scientists lead technical research project teams through problem definition, research agenda formulation, and the delivery and documentation of innovations, new software and/or solutions. Expert in your chosen technology, you'll explore and develop opportunities, evaluate state of the art in literature, products, and tools, investigate, integrate, develop, define and validate models. You'll also interact with customers on multiple projects.
REQUIREMENTS




Education

Ph.D. (post-graduate) degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, or related fields

Experience and knowledge

Experience includes ten or more years of software system research and development to create innovative solutions in both an industrial research setting and in product development. Experience with system development and developing technologies into a product is necessary. Additionally, expert knowledge of all phases of software life cycle (definition through production) is helpful.

Expertise in database and information management, scalable data architecture, web services and service oriented architecture is required. Experience in XML messaging, computer system security, business process management or workflow technologies is helpful.

Experience in working in a Chinese academic environment (teaching, leading research projects, etc) and abilities to recruit and train Chinese university researchers are helpful.
