Fluorescent immuno-assay Research Asst.

Purpose: Research Associate Aerotek is actively recruiting a Research Associate for a Diagnostic division of a client in Rockville, MD. The successful candidate will be involved in the product development of diagnostic assays for mis-folded protein diseases. Qualified candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, cell biology, or related field.

Job responsibilities:

- Assist in product development work possibly including, but not necessarily limited to, preparation of plate-based or bead-based, fluorescent immuno-assays and reagents.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction of reagents and kits for immuno-assays is highly preferred.
- Must have experience working with serum, plasma or cells from human blood in immuno-assay formats.
- Must have knowledge of the use of fluorescence detection instrumentation and data formats.
- Must be able to use computer software to analyze data for graphic presentations.
- Maintain inventories/data bases of laboratory supplies.
- Maintain/prepare an ordered list of adequate laboratory supplies and assure that laboratory equipment is in good order.Classification:ContractCompensation:
