We currently have an opening in our Clinical Research Operations Department for a Director, Clinical Research Operations, at our Pearl River, NY facility (located on the Rockland County, NY/Bergen County, NJ border).The primary purpose of this position is to provide the Vice President of Wyeth Vaccines Clinical Research (WVCR) with information and advice on clinical operations issues and to represent him on committees addressing cross-functional clinical operations issues. Additionally, the individual in this position will liaise between the Vice President of WVCR and the functional management providing clinical operations support to WVCR. Ensure all information required to address Vaccines clinical operations issues is available to the VP of WVCR; acquire and provide this information personally or arrange to have the information provided by others, as appropriate. Collaborate with the management of functions providing clinical operations support to WVCR, both within Clinical Research (e.g., Statistics, Clinical Communications, Clinical Project Management) and external to Clinical Research (e.g., AIM, Supplies) to ensure issues brought to the attention of the VP of WVCR are addressed. Represent the VP of WVCR on committees addressing cross-functional operational issues within Vaccines Clinical Research (e.g., standards committees, technology committees, CR&D integration committees).The individual should have a Master's degree, preferably in a life science content area, with at least 15 years of clinical research experience in a variety of clinical operational areas. Ideally, some of this experience will have been obtained working in Vaccines clinical research, preferably in the Wyeth environment. Continuing training on CR&D operations, SOPs, and vaccines operating model processes will be required. The individual should have knowledge of medical, technical, statistical, and scientific terminology; should have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and computer skills; should be able to effectively interact with professionals in a variety of fields (e.g., medical, scientific, statistical, programming, finance).Wyeth offers competitive compensation and benefits programs including stock
