Description:
US electronics retailer is looking for a market researcher to join their Consumer Insights team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing primary and secondary research projects designed to provide consumer-based insights and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of research projects from inception to conclusion (e.g. vendor selection, survey design, data collection, data analysis, report writing and presentation of findings)
May supervise one or more research analysts
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years experience in market research
Strong analytic skills with solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research techniques including segmentation, concept testing, customer satisfaction, attitude and usage studies, brand equity tracking, advertising testing, etc.
Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful insights, implications and recommendations
Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Ability to think strategically about business issues as well as focus on tactical research
Strong project management skills, including the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
Retail industry knowledge a plus
Experience with secondary data sources including Census and other government data, syndicated research studies, consumer trends data, retail resources, industry research.
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word required; SPSS knowledge helpful
Experience with multivariate statistical techniques and advanced marketing research methods (regression analysis, cluster analysis, conjoint analysis, etc.)
Advanced degree in business, market research, or social science highly preferred
