Summary:The primary role of a Programmer/Analyst is to understand the business needs of the company and to provide a solution for implementation of those needs. Assignments are moderate to sophisticated in complexity This role requires significant experience working with industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the programming field. This person will also be responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of all policies related to the security and integrity of the company databases.Responsibilities:
Design and implement complex technical solutions to meet the business needs of the company.
Understand business workflows as well as system functionality in projects related to system enhancement and maintenance.
Function as a liaison with end-users to mitigate the selection of design alternatives and identification of additional systems requirements.
Confirm program functionality by conducting tests, modifying program sequence and/or codes.
Maintain historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
Provide excellent customer service by responding quickly and thoroughly to end-user needs.
Research and implement new trends in data processing techniques, systems design and programming techniques.
Prepare written documentation for users regarding operating instructions.
Prioritize work to meet goals or deadlines.
Perform other administrative and technical duties as required to support the business operations.
Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines
Adhere to company standards, policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:4-year degree in a related area or 3 years or more of experience with Visual Basic, MS SQL, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Transaction SQL
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Experience in and a thorough understanding of at least one structured development methodology (SDLC)
Highly skilled in problem solving and the process of elimination.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment within the organizationCompensation and Benefits:
