Clinical Research Nurse

Pulmonary - This is a grant funded position

The Pulmonary Research Nurse is a professional nurse who administers and provides nursing care to patients according to their needs including administration of medications and special treatments. Assists in obtaining patient information for assessment of patient's conditions and participates with other team members in developing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive nursing care. Responsible for patient recruitment, managing care and data collection. Assist Principal Investigators with protocol development and IRB submissions. Perform other duties as assigned.


RN licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Three to five years Pulmonary research experience. BCLS certification. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Excellent interpersonal skills.
*Ability to apply scientific principles to problem solving and to planning, providing and evaluating nursing care.
*Ability to work effectively with investigators on a professional level.
*Must possess attitude consistent with research.

Preferred:
*BSN.
*Research/clinical trial experience.
*Pulmonary experience.
