CLINICAL LABORATORY FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE

This person will be responsible for the sales of solutions for the clinical laboratory market. It includes some up selling as well as new business development. He or she will be calling on hospitals and labs; and will be building relationships with Lab Managers, Lab Directors, Pathologists,and CFOs in smaller hospitals.Average amount of sale(usually 5 year contract)is $5,000 to $25,000 per year for gel platform; $35,000-$40,000 per year for reagent rental cost.

Compensation includes base salary, quarterly bonus with accelerators for those exceeding 100% of targets, car allowance, expenses and medical benefits.

The territory is great!It has large clients where there is a lot of upsell opportunity.There is also an outstanding existing client base of reference labs.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should have:
-Technical background i.e.lab experience, medtech
-4 Year Degree (Life Sciences, Chemistry, Medical Technology)
-Background in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab sales OR support - this person will entertain tech service reps that are interested in sales, as these people have the background to speak to the chemistry/science behind the product and are accustomed to rigorous travel
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Strong analytical and organizational skills
-Interest in entrepreneurial type environment and able to work autonomously
