Job Description:
This positions support Ernst & Young’s Content Coordination program, which underlies the external content acquisition process of Ernst & Young’s Center for Business Knowledge (CBK). The Content Lead will understand customer information needs in multiple industries and practice areas. The Content Lead will apply their knowledge of the content market place, and their capabilities in evaluating available choices in order to select the most appropriate content to address customer needs. As part of the Content Coordination Program, the professional will have research responsibilities. The professional will interact with a local and virtual team of CBK colleagues and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package and deliver information to executives and the firm’s leadership. This person will participate in, and manage research projects, including the design and delivery of products and services in response to customer needs. In this fast paced environment, juggling multiple research and content projects that have varying turnaround times from a few hours to a number of days is the norm. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Work with multiple internal customer groups to identify needs that can be addressed via external content. Identify, evaluate and recommend the purchase of external content the meets customer content needs. Translate complex strategic and/or undefined business needs into integrated knowledge solutions delving into the primary reason for the request and managing expectations of the requestor. Work with CBK groups to deploy purchased content including assisting in the creation reference material, training documentation and communications. Manage content budget for multiple customer groups. Educate internal customers and CBK colleagues in the use of content, and the application of copyright and contractual intellectual property issues related to content Conduct business research that crosses industries as well as manage research projects. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: The incumbent of this position must have: Education: A graduate degree or equivalent experience in a discipline in which research and external content is critical. Such graduate degrees could include Library and/or Information Science, Law, Journalism, or appropriately-focused MBA (i.e. market research). Experience: Approximately 5-7 years experience in general business research and content evaluation, preferably in a corporate information service environment. Experience desired but not required in one or more of the following content areas: Healthcare (i.e. hospitals/medical services/provider care, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology), Automotive, Industrial Products, Accounting and Auditing. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment A team oriented attitude and the ability to work independently Excellent customer relationship management skills Good organizational skills Understanding of the external content market place Experience with external content evaluation methodology Experience with general business research tools Proficient with MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
