Associate Chemist

Work independently and as a member of a leading team of professionals engaged in the quickly emerging and exciting field of microspheres. Become an expert in this field by developing a high degree of expertise in microsphere(s) technology and applications. Perform lab and technical work associated with various applications of this new technology. This includes hands-on industrial laboratory work to develop and test new formulations and products. Make presentations of your work to managers, sales and customers. Guide new formulations and materials from the lab to scale-up and then to manufacturing. Work with Henkel sales, technical service, manufacturing and customers to provide quality and technical support. In this role you with be responsible for experiment and testing documentation, reporting results, and general lab activities. Travel as needed to support the business.Job Requirements
We are looking for a unique individual with strong technical and people skills. To be considered you must have a minimum of a 2 year technical degree and several years of experience in an industrial laboratory setting. We prefer an individual with a 4 year degree (Chemistry, ChemE, ME, IndE). Excellent computer skills and laboratory techniques are a must. The selected candidate must be very adaptable and flexible, and have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. In addition strong lab skills and the ability to function effectively independently and as part of a team are needed. Must be able to travel as needed (up to 20%).
