Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading the selection and lease negotiations for future retail sites in order to achieve a superior real estate position for Starbucks stores. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.


REQUIREMENTS
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Researches new and existing submarkets through broker networks, new market surveys and visits. Meets with landlords and city representatives. Responds to unsolicited site submittals.
Tracks performance goals and budget. Prepares management and pipeline reports and business plans. Compiles integrated market strategy report, post-analysis report and other special project reporting.
Within a limited scope, manages all aspects of market development. Participates in strategic planning. Updates target lists, maps and target books. Conducts title searches. Analyzes site surveys and leases. Tours regions with visits to competitors and existing sites. Prepares letters of intent, confirmation letters, site surveys requests, pro formas and site submittals. Coordinates design and constructions issues with internal partners and landlords. Resolves legal and lease issues.

Retail or restaurant new store rollout 3 years
Financial planning and market analysis 2 years
Project management in chain store, retail or commercial brokerage 1 year
Real estate deal-making and negotiations 1 year
