Sales Executive

Sales and Account Executive



Responsibilities

Develop and execute approved sales and business development plans to increase local market share
Accountable for achieving sales and revenue production goals from new-to-company accounts and developing new business from existing clients in company-designated target segments
Develop, lead, and actively prospect for new-to-company customers; identify profitable business opportunities for LandAmerica by calling on key personnel and decision-makers at targeted prospects to establish business relationships and obtain profitable new business and orders
Supply timely market intelligence to management as well as records of sales activity, results, and costs using regular and timely activity reports and such other means of communication as required by company
Call on current customers to determine additional opportunities to grow, broaden, and deepen the customer relationship with LandAmerica; identify additional decision-makers, enhance the business relationship, and obtain new business and orders.
Work with prospects to assess their needs and determine suitable LandAmerica solutions
Solicit referrals and establish and manage a business development pipeline of prospects through letter-writing, emails, phone calls, and especially face-to-face meetings/presentations to convey LandAmerica value propositions and benefits that address customer needs
Keep management informed of customer requirements, needs, and concerns
Maintain accurate customer prospect/client database as directed by the company using designated tools (i.e., GoldMine, SalesLogix, or other tools and software specified by company)
Achieve assigned sales targets to include revenues from new-to-company business and new business from existing customers, appropriate mix of buy/sell and refinance business, and such other metrics/targets
Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and activities assigned by the company
Support company-designated cross-sell efforts
Work with other functional areas (production, underwriting, etc.) to effectively coordinate and align the resources necessary to successfully capture profitable new business and retain profitable existing business
Share best practices with other salespeople and management
Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to sell effectively and meet revenue objectives and other targets
Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities; strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to make effective presentations to both existing and prospective customers
Ability to plan and maintain an efficient schedule of customer contact, sales promotion activities, customer support, and related efforts to generate value
Ability to evaluate effectiveness of sale efforts and the associated cost vs. benefit
Ability to represent the company in a professional, positive, and courteous manner
Three or more years experience in sales/marketing, with an emphasis on servicing and developing existing accounts
Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of title insurance, underwriting, closing, and real estate-related processes and services
