Information Services Analyst
Responsibilities
Provide first level support in response to user problems
Perform diagnostics to determine problem origin (hardware, software, LAN, WAN), resolve or repair the issue, and escalate problems when necessary
Complete program and equipment modifications and upgrades
Resolve problems with third party proprietary applications and equipment and coordinate problem-solving with vendor analysts as required
Support LandAmerica applications through problem diagnosis and problem resolution
Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain system and application hardware, software, and peripherals; install and configure servers in collaboration with WAN group
Resolve current Microsoft Windows operating system(s) problems with domain structures and perform operating system conversions and upgrades to current Windows operating systems
Answer questions and assist in training users on various PC-based Windows applications, software systems, and peripherals or direct users to corporate training resources
Audit systems to ensure compliance with software license agreements
Track and report trouble calls
Adhere to corporate information security guidelines and promote information security and the protection of automated corporate assets
Minimum Qualifications
Analytical ability sufficient to independently diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems
Ability to work with little supervision and plan, organize, and prioritize a varied workload
Knowledge of computer systems, software and hardware, including application systems, operating systems, and common office suite software
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with all levels of management, employees, and vendors
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to train computer users in operation of workstation computers, applications, and networks
Ability to analyze and document system requirements
Ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications
Four years college education with an emphasis on computer science or business , with over three years experience in customer support working with progressively complex computer and network systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with workstation computers, operating systems and applications, and knowledge of WAN/LAN networks, UNIX, and current Windows operating system and system administration
Microsoft certification
