Financial Aid and Business Office Positions Available - Bay Area

1. We are looking for Financial Aid Advisor candidates to assist new and returning students in financing their tuition, books and other educational costs. You will also prepare and maintain the necessary documentation to secure the financial aid funds by interviewing the student, obtaining documentation and signatures and entering the information into the computer system, and "packaging" the student. The Financial Aid Advisor processes loan applications and forwards MPN to the lenders and electronic applications to grantors. The Advisor resolves any conflicting information, ensures complete and accurate processing and maintains compliance with all program requirements.



2. We are looking for Director of Financial Aid candidates to oversee, energize and motivate the Financial Aid department team. In this position, you will assist new and returning students in financing their tuition, books and other educational costs. You will work to obtain, prepare and maintain the necessary documentation to secure the financial aid funds by interviewing the student, obtaining documentation and signatures and entering the information into the computer system, and "packaging" the student. This position also involves processing loan applications and forwarding MPN to the lenders and electronic applications to grantors. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the Financial Aid team members resolve any conflicting information, with complete and accurate processing while remaining in compliance with all program requirements.



3. We are looking for Business Office Manager candidates who will be able to effectively and efficiently run the site finances and ensure accurate reports and accounting. This will include budgeting, reforecasting, reconciliation, analysis of the site’s financial performance with recommendations for improvement. You will be responsible for timely collection of cash from students and outside agencies. This includes the timely processing of the return of Title IV funds. The Business Office Manager will ensure that student financials, Title IV/Cal Grant remain in compliance with school, state and federal laws.
REQUIREMENTS


Requirements to be successful in this position, you will need:



Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated successful supervisory experience preferred for all positions except Financial Aid Advisor.
Previous work experience in finance, financial aid office or educational setting.
Excellent customer service skills
Action-oriented, "can do" attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reconciliation skills
Proven ability to be detail oriented and analytical.
Good Communications skills
