District Manager, Apartment Management
Applicant will be responsible for multi-site, multi-state, portfolio of luxury, new constructed, affordable housing communities developed under the federal tax credit program (Section 42). Applicant will directly hire, train and supervise on-site staff of apartment leasing, management and maintenance personnel and be directly accountable for the day-to-day operations of their portfolio. You will have direct responsible for Profit and Loss activities, including leasing, marketing, rent collections, evictions as well as property maintenance, including “curb appeal”, unit turnovers, routine maintenance and capital additions. Staff will generally consist of 30 to 40 on-site personnel and you will report directly to Vice President of Property Management and will be supported by Marketing Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Training Coordinator and home office Compliance and Accounting departments. Position requires extensive travel to property locations within assigned territory.
Position can be based in Home Office or within Portfolio geography.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicant should have substantial experience in management of multi-site apartment portfolio within a fast paced, goal-oriented environment and have experience in managing “new lease-ups”. Applicant must have superior communication skills and be versed in a variety of computer applications with knowledge of One-Site / RentRoll a distinct advantage. You should be trained in fair housing and knowledgeable about ADA rules with working knowledge of tax credits and housing programs being a superior advantage. Applicant should be a self-starter with team-building traits and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on a daily basis.
