Supply Quality Assurance Manager - 159F1-1

Responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and audit of the Supplier Quality System. This position will play a critical role in identifying quality improvement opportunities and creating the action plan for improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manages and oversees overall supply chain performance.
•Assesses the ability of the supplier to provide quality products and service.•Utilize communication and interpersonal skills to meet with suppliers about quality issues and initiatives.
•Perform quarterly and/or annual audits on our suppliers to make sure they are adhering to the Genie Supplier expectations.
•Establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain performance to give consistency to the assessment of our suppliers.
•Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
•Introduces new suppliers to Genie, thus teaching them about Genie’s material distribution and quality requirements.•Helps plan, implement, and administer programs designed to track and measure quality of supplier performance and the Supplier Quality System.
•Will be an active member on a quality council which will assess, monitor and implement initiatives to maintain and improve Supplier Quality.
•Help identify priorities for quality improvements, develop required standards, implementation of standards and assistance in determining best practices for the company.
•Works to eliminate quality challenges using systems such as poke-yokes and Zero Quality Control techniques.
•Identify root cause of issues through data analysis.
•Evaluate product and process change requests to ensure product quality is not compromised.
•Responsible for communication of the Supplier Quality plans and training local management.
•Partners with management and Team Members in various facilities and regions to report findings, and to organize and prioritize quality solutions and measuring tools.•Work closely with the Parts and Warranty team to incorporate the quality standards and systems within the company.

REQUIREMENTS
•Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills
•Work well under compressed time constraints
•Manage multiple tasks/projects at one time
•Coordinate assignments among multiple support groups and provide direction to Team Members
•Ability to compile data, synthesize, draw conclusions, and present results in a format tailored to the audience
•Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
•High degree of initiative and proficiency in learning new skills
•Proficiency with MS office products
•Ability to comprehend and communicate requirements from technical drawings and specifications
•Requires the ability to travel worldwide on a frequent basis
•Five to ten years of manufacturing or related technical experience (including: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components). Additional education may substitute for some experience.
•Four or more years direct experience in quality management
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Finance•Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts
•Supply Chain Management experience
•Experience supporting and auditing an ISO 9000 or equivalent Quality System
•Understanding of precision measurement and testing
•Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods
•Project management and planning experience
