The Operating Unit Master Black Belt for the Six Sigma Program is responsible for providing technical expertise in the Six Sigma methodology, as well as developing the Black Belts through coaching and mentoring. The Master Black Belt is the expert in the methodology and is called upon to assist the Black Belt and team with applying the DMAIC and DFE methods to projects. They are responsible to be at all project tollgates and advise Business Champions on the technical merits of the project phase and provide technical feedback. Master Black Belts may conduct training for Black Belts and Green Belts. Master Black Belts are responsible for working with Business Champions and Process Owners to perform data mining and project identification exercises. Additionally a Master Black Belt may run a large Operating Unit level project and direct an improvement team.




Job Requirements:


3-5 years of experience in project management


Successfully complete Black Belt training


Strong coaching and mentoring skills


Proficient with JRS Methodology and demonstrated ability to successfully apply the tools


Strong data analysis and interpretation skills


Strong communication skills


Strong team building skills


Excellent project management skills


Black Belt Certification desired
