Job Description:
The Senior Operations Coordinator works within the HR Support Services team of Ernst & Young's Shared Service Center (SSC) to perform more complex HR support and administrative functions. The Senior Operations Coordinator may be specialized in his/her knowledge or work across one of more of the following functional HR areas: Recruiting, Performance Development, Status Changes, Recordkeeping, Compensation, Reporting, etc. The Senior Operations Coordinator has proven experience and abilities to assume more complex HR support tasks and to provide coaching to less experienced team members. Responsibilities Support the Recruiting & Lifelong Relationships function by scheduling interviews and interviewers, mailing correspondence, and other related workflow items. Transact and supervise activities related to life events and status changes. Assist and act as a liaison in the separations process to include scheduling exit interviews, completing exit paperwork, and notifying appropriate parties. Serve as a liaison to the HR Compliance team to assist in the collection and administration of compliance paperwork and data entry responsibilities. Monitor and assist in the processing of mass production reports, ad-hoc reports and general clean-up of data to help produce accurate reporting capabilities. Aid in the collection of HR survey data from the field. Maintain an organizational feedback repository to assist in survey development and delivery. Serve as a liaison to the firm's People Development team by following up with employees to request compliance with deadlines, scheduling round tables and promoting standardization of processes across business units. Provide general recordkeeping support and tracking for all processes within scope of the SSC. Support the Total Rewards function by processing recognition rewards and tracking compliance. Respond to standard customer needs and inquiries by analyzing the activity and performing necessary and appropriate actions to reach resolution; e.g., review and analyze an escalated customer inquiry to determine the proper course of action and come to a resolution. Apply on-the-job experience and knowledge to resolve non-routine inquiries. Demonstrate ownership of all assigned tasks, including learning as much as possible about the HR function, understanding the downstream impact of any actions or decisions, making process improvement suggestions, and demonstrating a willingness to build knowledge and take on new assignments. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years of college courses knowledge of HR functions and administration preferred approximately 2-4 years of related experience preferred the ability to research, analyze, interpret, and document transactions and issues with minimal supervision, following standard SSC procedures the ability to make considered, measured judgments regarding problems, the routine as well as the more unusual perform supervisory responsibilities involving on-the-job training and aid for new employees Vacation may be limited to specific times during the year due to busy season needs.
