SENIOR SOFTWARE SYSTEMS TEST ENGINEER

Senior member of the software testing and quality assurance team for all-CMOS UWB solutions.

-Responsible for reading, analyzing, and understanding wireless protocol specifications and test specifications to derive test plans and test strategies for testing software releases of WiMedia MAC, Wireless USB, Bluetooth 3.0, and WiNet compliant solutions.

-These software solutions comprise embedded firmware running on Ultra Wideband ASIC, as well as embedded host libraries, and applications for the Windows and Linux environments. Test strategies must encompass protocol compliance, software quality, as well as solution compliance, interoperability, and functional verification.

-Software test plans include automated and repeatable tests for regression. The engineer will be responsible for developing test scripts in the Python scripting language for the automated testing of protocols. The scripts will run on own proprietary testing systems, and may make use of third-party testing equipment including protocol analyzers and sniffers.




Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements:

Candidates will have a minimum of eight years of relevant embedded software testing experience.
This job requires programming experience and working knowledge of scripting languages that include Python or Perl. Experience with automated testing and regression is also required.
Experience testing protocol software, such as for CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, 802.11, Bluetooth, or other wireless device standards is mandatory.
The engineer must have experience operating protocol analyzers and similar test equipment.
Familiarity with USB, SDIO, PCI, and other wired interfaces is desirable.
Candidate should have excellent communication skills and excel in a team environment.
