SENIOR QUALITY INSPECTOR

The incumbent may perform the inspection of incoming materials, packaging, labeling, components, Work-In-Process and final products using more complex inspection gauging and setups and may use coordinate measuring type machines. They have an understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing systems. Requires performing intricate First Article inspections on a wide variety of parts and may involve complex custom design castings and molds assemblies. They initiate rejection reports for non-conforming materials and ensure proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental, GMP, and ISO requirements. Based on their thorough knowledge of the quality control process, they publish and analyze quality reports & write procedures taking appropriate actions when required. They interface with Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, Product Development personnel and may include suppliers solving quality issues, troubleshooting parts, and recommending courses of action. They may provide direction for other inspectors. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at 5 years experience as a QC Inspector. Must have strong working knowledge of various inspection requirements and measurement techniques. Must be able to obtain measurements with inspection gauging such as caliper, height gauge and micrometer. Must have experience in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Inspection Vision Systems. Must have strong communication skills and be capable of producing detailed and comprehensive inspection documentation and reports.
