RISK SPECIALIST

Shift: DAY (VARIED) Shift Hours: 8HOUR Hours Per Pay Period: 80 Facility: ST JOSEPHS HOSPITAL & MED CTRJob Description: Educational Requirements:
BS degree in nursing or related healthcare area. Masters preferred.Experience Requirements:
Three years acute care clinical, preferably in critical care or high risk setting. One year experience in quality improvement of medical staff peer review.License/Registration/Certification:
RN; CPHQ, CHRM preferred
Conducts risk prevention, investigation and mitigation activities related to clinical care processes. Provides leadership and training in patient safety activities such as fall prevention. Collaborates with Quality Management Department and Medical Staff to integrate activities with quality monitoring and peer review. Works with Patient Relations to provide patient and family support following a perceived or actual adverse event. Collects and analyzes event report and other data to identify areas of opportunity to improve patient care and patient safety.Job Requirements
