Quality Resource Specialist

Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN), BS degree preferred, with 2-3 years clinical hospital experience.
Basic Functions: Performs admission and concurrent review of patient's plan of care to determine medical necessary of admission and appropriateness of hospitalization. Follows case throughout hospitalization to manage case collaborating with attending physicians and other caregivers. Performs quality assessment activities for and in conjunction with the medical staff and hospital ancillary department personnel. Reviews physician medical record documentation and consults with MD's regarding completeness thereby assisting coding of medical records.
