Quality Manager - Spectrum Plastics

Spectrum Plastics is searching for candidates for its Quality Manager opening. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a member of a team that is positioning its operations for future growth and ventures into new markets. They will lead Spectrum’s quality initiatives including TS 16949 and ISO 14001 implementations to ensure that Spectrum’s customers are provided a quality, precision product while meeting or exceeding their requirements. The Quality Manager will champion lean initiatives throughout the Spectrum Plastics division of Associated Spring. They will be an integral part of the management team as it moves forward with its manufacturing and R&D initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:
• Lead the TS16949 and ISO 14001 implementation team.
• Direct all quality initiatives for the division.
• Work closely with Division Management to implement lean initiatives.
• Liaison with customers, engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Coordinate advanced quality planning processes.
• Assist engineering with quality related issues.
• Work closely with manufacturing to implement proactive quality action plans.
• Liaison with Group Headquarters as appropriate.
• Supervise Quality Assurance employees.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in plastics.
• 1-3 years experience implementing lean initiatives to support business goals.
• ASQ Certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
• Possess superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a hands-on approach to quality management.
• Be organized and detail-oriented and also assertive and persuasive.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Be flexible and perform well under pressure.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
