Quality Manager

General Summary
Direct and manage the Quality Department at the Milwaukee Plant. Responsibilities include overall accountability for product quality as specified by company policy and as defined by quality standards.Position Responsibilities:
Direct and manage the Quality department functions and activities
Maintain the highest standards of quality and integrity for products
Provide technical knowledge in the areas of Quality Assurance and R&D to plant personnel
Direct the auditing functions throughout the plant
Direct HACCP and GMP efforts throughout the plant
Ensure compliance with all government regulatory bodies
Ensure compliance with any applicable WHQ policies and programs
Lead user at Milwaukee for PLM / Optiva
Lead SAP Quality Management activities
Direct R&D activities at the Milwaukee Plant
Position Authority:
Place ingredients and / or products on hold
Authorize additional laboratory analysis
Release product for use / shipment
Release product for shipment under bond
Halt production
Initiate corrective and preventative actions
Disposition of withheld product
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
Minimum education required: Bachelors Degree - Biology, Chemistry, Quality, or other related science
Education preferred: Masters Degree Preferred
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years Quality Assurance and / or Quality Control in food processing environmentQualifications
Proficient with Microsoft Office packages
Experience within SAP environment helpful
Strong communication and organizational skills
