Quality Manager

Reports to the VP of Operations and is charged with developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured and serviced by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.
We are currently seeking a Quality Manager to lead our quality management program.

The primary responsibilities:
The Quality Control Manager provides leadership and guidance to the plant and QA department employees.
Directs, coaches, trains and supervises employees in order to assure that all products shipped to the customers meet and exceed the requirements set forth by the company and regulatory protocol.
Effectively manages the quality assurance function, utilizing a process management and control approach with available and accepted statistical and process control tools.
Implements and develops laboratory standards, production targets and procedures that support the manufacturing operations.
Cooperatively interacts with other managers andor departments on special products and projects.
Ensures customer satisfaction and acts as a liaison with sales, customers and the division.
Stays abreast of technology and evaluates opportunities for improvement.
Serves as a role model in the areas of quality, safety, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, continuous improvement and environmental stewardship to ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals.

Other responsibilities include:
Develop and continuously improve plant procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for both raw materials and finished goods.
Preparation and resolution for all Company and vendor Audits.
Track, analyze and resolve all quality and customer complaint issues within the organization utilizing support staff at satellite locations.
Custodian of QA Department data collection, analysis and communication programs and systems.
Manage department supervision and all technicians and act as mentor and resource to build team and individual QA competencies in all facilities and locations.
Responsible for all QA Department raw materials and labor budgeting and management.
Thorough knowledge of Statistical Process Control, HACCP and Quality Audit and Good Manufacturing Practice programs and procedures.

Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. with emphasis in sciences, engineering or statistics
At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Control/Process role required
At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry or related industry such as; other building materials, chemicals and/ or cleaners.
Previous experience as a manager or supervisor is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated customer interfacing skills with ability to solve problems
Strong analysis skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in PC usage and in applicable software programs utilized to track, store and communicate critical date on Quality KRI’s (micro’s, raw material usage, quality indexes, etc
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
