Quality Inspector III

Purpose: A creator of high end plumbing products is currently looking for a skilled Quality Inspector. This person will perform a variety or quality control tests and inspections on products, components, etc. to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Applies advanced skills, experience, and knowledge with procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment. Relies on experience and judgment to recommend modifications to existing standards, methods, and procedures or suggests new standards, methods, and procedures. May orient, train, assign, and check the work of lower-level employees.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years experience as a Quality Inspector. Must be able to read engineering drawings and understand tolerancing. Experience using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, ring gauges, plug gauges, depth gauges and thread templates and simple calibration of these instruments to gauge blocks. Experience using aerosol dye penetrant systems. Good English communication skills (written and oral). Must have a working knowledge of statistics and be able to calculate simple averages and standard deviations and understand the principles of sampling inspection and AQL. Must be able to comfortably do filing work and maintain records of what has been measured in a manner that can be referenced at a later stage. Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to use Excel and Word.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
