Quality Control Technician

Purpose: A company in Eden Prairie is looking for a Quality Control Technician in 1st shift paying 13-14/h

We are looking for a candidate to test packaging for stress tolerance, temperature tolerance, moisture tolerance, leaks, etc. Person will be testing various packaging from corrugated boxes to plastic bags utilizing multiple testing instruments and machines.
Person will be specifically working in their hazmat testing area, but will be cross-trained in other areas. The candidates must have some sort of hazmat training or experience. They will not be handling hazardous materials, but must be familiar with the codes and requirements for hazmat shipping/handling.
Person will be documenting test results and writing test reports.
Person must have great written and verbal communications skills.
Person must have quality assurance experience preferably in a lab environment. An ideal candidate is someone who wants to be a packaging engineer.
