Quality Control Analyst
Purpose:
Our client, a healthcare company located in the Dallas area is looking for a Quality Control Analyst. The hours will be Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM.
The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing initial and ongoing training programs for all staff performing Admitting/Registration Services, monitoring performance, auditing and coordinating activities of all registration functions at any physical location within the hospital domain. Additionally, this person is responsible for ensuring quality standards are set and maintained throughout all departments with the organization. This includes auditing all account types to ensure departmental policies and procedures are followed and communicating relevant feedback to the appropriate department supervisors/managers. Finally, the Quality Control Analyst is responsible for rolling out training for new system functionality or regulatory changes, which apply to both front-end registration and back end business office staff. This person must be able to work cooperatively within a team environment.
To be qualified for this position, ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-years of recent experience in Admitting Services and minimum of 1-year of training and technical writing experience in a healthcare environment. Experience in developing process improvement, analysis and implementation programs. Demonstrated experience with technical and soft skill training, quality management, documentation and technical writing. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including technical writing with the ability to communicate on both an interpersonal and technical level. Knowledge of pre-admission, authorization, verification, insurance, reimbursement contracts and department/system policies and procedures. Knowledge of the legal aspects of Admitting Services, including state and federal regulations patient access, living wills, organ donation and other hospital responsibilities. Understanding of Admitting Services' impact on the hospital accounts receivable, cash flow and bad debt processes. Proven ability to design, analyze and develop training materials and quality indicators. To be considered, candidate must have a high school diploma but an Associates Degree is preferred.
This position is a scheduled to be a 3 to 4-month contract with the possibility to become a permanent employee.
