Quality Assurance Test Lead

The job -
We are looking for an experienced high energy, quality assurance and test automation expert in the Dallas area. Team management and/or project management experience in QA or testing required. This role will require the candidate to be an individual contributor as well as a leader and project manager.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with an in-depth understanding of detailed product specifications and product functionality. This individual must also be able to analyze requirements using cases and be capable of creating robust test scenarios and test cases from the upstream artifacts.

Job Description:
•Conduct automated and manual testing (regression, load, stress, integration, etc.) with commercial tools in one or more work projects with an in-depth understanding of maintenance strategies.
•Responsible for bug tracking/error reporting, working within version controlled test cycles.
•Assign and allocate testing resources to projects based on quantity of work and resource skill sets.
•Provide cost and timeline estimates for testing/training on all projects based on project scope and resource availability.
•Oversee the testing and training cycle to ensure the team meets all project deliverables.
•Partner with the project management team to ensure all projects pass through quality milestones including necessary sign-offs, completed documentation, risk mitigation, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications –
•Solid experience with the quality assurance and testing methods.
•Strong analytical skills, creative thinking ability and problem solving skills.
•Experience in project reporting including metrics creation/management experience.
•Excellent time management skills and must be self-motivated.
•Experience with commercial software is preferred.
•Programming/scripting expertise with experience in one or more work projects involving programming or automation tool languages are required.
•Working knowledge of operating systems, client-server and web architectures, databases (Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows XP and SQL).
•Experience with one or more of the following GUI types in testing or test automation: HTML/Web, VB.NET.
•Experience in implementing processes and controls in a small team environment is desired.
•Experience with configuration management and requirements management tools desired.
•Must be self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
