Pilgrim"&tm;s Pride is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for our 1st shift in Lufkin, Texas. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the quality and food safety requirements of the Company are met in the day to day production of food products within the plant.


Responsibilities:


1. Oversee in-place quality assurance systems and aid in development of system improvements

2. Direct and supervise Forepersons and Technicians

3. Monitor and audit HACCP and SSOP plans

4. Conduct internal process audits, food safety and GMP audits

5. Ensure the efficiency of product testing and quality checks

6. Monitor all testing procedures for efficiency and accuracy

7. Be a team player in promoting system and product quality
REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications:


1. Minimum of 1 year management of quality function experience, preferably in the food industry

2. Must have computer skills

3. Poultry or food experience a plus

4. Knowledge in the areas of HACCP plans, SSOP's, GMP's, USDA, FDA, OHSA and plant sanitation a plus

5. Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

6. Must have good leadership skills and be willing and able to multi-task

7. Must be dependable, prompt and willing to work weekends and overtime


Education Requirement:


1. Four year degree in related field preferred
