Quality Assurance Representative

While a Southern California location is preferred, this position can be located anywhere in the state. It will operate from a home office and through business travel. This manager is a key player in Avendra’s Quality Assurance Department. The manager maintains and monitors all levels of food quality and safety for Avendra contracted suppliers, distributors, and customers. The manager also resolves and responds to field related issues.

Responsibilities
•Act as the central point of contact for quality and safety related issues as reported by contracting, purchasing, suppliers and customers, thus facilitating rapid resolution.
•Perform regional and occasionally national quality and safety audits.
•Perform property based Back of the House and Meet the Truck audits
•Conduct quality sampling and testing of products as contracted by the National Commodity Team.
•Perform all administrative tasks required of the position.
•Accomplish other objectives as specified by the Regional Director of Quality Assurance.

Role Requirements
Experience in quality assurance, preferably with a BA/BS degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office based applications. Ability to work independently, communicate well verbally and in writing. Twenty five percent travel required.

Years of Relevant Experience
3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance discipline.

Education Requirements
