Quality Assurance Manager - Quality Manager

This position is responsible for the day to day management and strategic direction of the quality assurance function.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

- Champion the quality initiatives for the business;

- Develop and implement internal quality programs/initiatives to ensure customer expectations are met;

- Conduct the management review of the quality system;

- Responsible for attainment and compliance with quality certifications (ISO, QS, TS, etc.);

- Responsible for successful completion all quality certification audits;

- Implement techniques, systems, and effective quality procedures for inspection, production processes and shipment of product;

- Develop standards for manufactured parts, purchased parts and materials, and finished goods;

- Participate in manufacturing process design/new product launches to establish effective quality control methods;

- Manage/supervise the members of the quality function;

- Actively participate as a member of the management team as the primary quality representative;

- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Qualification Profile for Quality Assurance Manager:

- Bachelors degree in an engineering or technology discipline;

- Minimum of eight to ten years of experience in quality control/assurance in a manufacturing environment;

- Minimum of three years of management or supervision experience in a quality function;

- Experience in a metal manufacturing/fabrication operation

- Experience with lean/six sigma manufacturing techniques and QS/TS certifications;

- Thorough understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA’s and new product launches;

- Strong computer/systems experience.
