Quality Assurance Manager

Our Quality Assurance Manager has the responsibility for quality assurance for the entire organization and manages the QA department to ensure product quality and customer specification compliance. The QA Manager has the responsibility to lead the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Helac Quality System. Operating the quality system while evaluating, analyzing and reporting on product and process quality performance.

Helac is a Seattle-Tacoma, Washington area based internationally respected manufacturer of hydraulic rotary actuators for mobile equipment. We are located in Enumclaw, Washington.
As a leader in the fluid power industry for over 25 years, we manufacture a comprehensive line of hydraulic rotary actuators used as component parts in OEM equipment and after-market attachments for the construction equipment industry. Our rotary actuators are best known for their tremendous torque output, compact dimensions, exceptional load bearing capability and rugged, reliable performance.
REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidate for this position will have the following skills:
Four-year degree or equivalent related experience in quality management.
Three to five years of supervisory experience.
The ability to lead and direct others in the daily activities of the Quality Department.
The ability to read and interpret engineering blue prints and bills of materials.
Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and be literate with standard shop mathematics which include trigonometric functions
Must be able to display and explain layout inspection techniques. Must participate in hands on inspection of hardware. Must be able to train others in inspection techniques.
Experience with SPC data collection, interpretation and reporting.
Experience with ISO quality standards.
Have a working knowledge of JIT and Lean process development and manufacturing.
Customer focused approach to both internal and external customers.
Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and provide complex written and verbal instructions.
Ability to maintain a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. The job requires a high degree of attention to detail.
The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, and secure confidential data and records.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of MS Office; spreadsheet and word processing software, preferably Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Project.
Travel nationally and internationally to visit customers and vendors.
