Quality Assurance Manager

Purpose: DUTIES: --Manages the Quality Assurance program for participating departments in the company's Quality Assurance Program.
--Develops QA program that enables company to demonstrate its ability to provide a product that consistently meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
--Develops processes for continual improvement and the prevention of errors and mistakes.
--Develops approaches that enable company to achieve, maintain and improve overall performance and capabilities.
--Addresses efficiency, waste reduction, consistent control of key processes, promotion and standardization of good working practices, employee training, and the effective management of risk.
--Develops a corporate QA program that includes a quality management system, incorporates management responsibility, addresses personnel and physical resources necessary for the QA program; addresses customer satisfaction, and includes methods and practices for measurement, analysis and improvement.
--Advises top management in all areas of QA.
--Identifies and describes processes and chains of activities relevant to the products of participating departments.
--Prepares and updates the company's Quality Manual.
--Participates in design and development reviews.
--Develops procedures to exercise control over suppliers.
--Develops procedures for the validation of software.
--Develops plans to monitor systems, processes and products and the statistical techniques used in measurement and monitoring.
--Oversees analysis of QA data.
--Prepares QA reports deliverable to company's customer organizations.
--Contributes to creation of test procedures.
--Oversees company Calibration Program.
--Oversees First Article Inspections and ensures compliance with all QA requirements in contracts for participating company departments.


EDUCATION:
--degree in management or engineering with cross training in the other discipline.

EXPERIENCE:
--10+ years experience in quality assurance management including both hardware and software.
--Incumbent is extremely knowledgeable in ISO 9000:2000 standards particularly ISO 9001, AS/EN9100, AS/EN9000, and ISO-9000-3.

$86,000 to $96,000 Year
