Quality Assurance Manager

Reports to: Plant ManagerJob Summary:
A Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for implementing and maintenance of the Division and plant site Quality Management System to assure ISO-9000 registration. Create and maintain plant site Quality System documentation to ensure processes and documentation reflect current practices.Responsibilities to Include:
Assist in performing a variety of quality engineering functions to improve the Quality Management System.
Develop and drive the implementation of quality initiatives in support of the Textron Roadmap to Lean.
coordinate activities closely with the facility managers and departments including, but not limited to, Production Control, Manufacturing, and Human Resources.
Interfaces effectively with all levels and departments within the organization as a whole including Greenlee and Textron executives.
Manage the overall Quality Assurance function including Inspection, and plant compliance to the ISO 9001 standard.
Develop proactive measures to ensure product and process quality.
Establishes quality requirements, identify problems, and take corrective actions to improve quality.
Develop and maintain quality metrics and make recommendations for corrective action to achieve and maintain plant goals.
Develop yearly internal audit schedule and conduct them in accordance with Division requirements.
Develop effective supplier management processes to assure purchased part quality and minimize the need for inspection.
Provide Quality Leadership, implement quality tools, and create metrics to support the Textron Roadmap to Lean.
Conduct performance and salary reviews for direct reports.
Identify training needs and support individual career development plans for plant site quality personnel.
Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional policies and practices regarding EEO, salary administration, budget administration, and departmental/plant goal setting and achievement.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree is required.Position Requirements:
6 years of Quality or related experience, preferably in both a machining and hydraulic assembly environment.
3 years professional experience in a management capacity.
Must have functional knowledge of ISO standards, ISO certification requirements and quality system implementation.
Must have experience with implementation of SPC.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be detail oriented.
Must be motivated to work effectively without direct supervision.
Must be able to demonstrate the following competencies: approachability, action oriented, problem solving, and priority setting and building an effective team. ASQ certified Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager preferred.
