Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the functional, integration and regression testing of trading system software. This position will work closely with the QA Manager to ensure the quality and integrity of the trading system software.You will work closely with internal and external teams to test complex applications.Understand business and functional requirements to develop test plans, scripts and test casesExecute tests and processes for all applications to ensure QA policies and standards are met.Identify discrepancies, report defects utilizing the internal tracking application, communicate with the development team via established process, and track them to resolution.Work independently on projects assigned.Interact within a team structure and often on ad hoc basis and multiple activities.Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.


Requirements:

Requires strong, methodical approach to problem solving.Familiarity with Equities and general market knowledge is a plus.Must be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.Ability to work independently or within a team structure.Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to multitask between several different tasks that involve data analysis, designing test cases, and executing test scenarios.Be a quick learner; individuals are required to jump into projects and areas where they may not have experienceExperience:Minimum four years of experience in technology.Must have knowledge of QA methodologies with the emphasis on writing and executing test scripts.Demonstrated experience in leading projects.Demonstrated experience in developing and executing test plans, test scripts, and test casesExperience utilizing defect tracking softwareExperience with Order Management Systems and/or the FIX protocol a plus.
Education:Minimum of Bachelor's degree required.
