QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Our exciting and agile DOD client has need of an experienced QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER to operate in an electronics manufacturing environment.This person will:1. Direct and administer all Quality Programs for the division.2. Be responsible for: - preparation and maintenance of the nonconforming materials program
- internal and external quality audits, source inspection and findings reports, recommendations, non-conformance and suitable corrective actions
- review of customer proposals prior to contract resulting in exception, clarification and/or comment
- review and approval of procurement documents to assure quality requirements are specified
- review and approval of drawings and procedures generated by engineering to assure conformance to quality standards
- monitoring and analysis of scrap and rework costs3. Provide first point of contact with customers, vendors and regulatory representatives on all communications regarding Quality Assurance4. Serve as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System adn interface with corporate on the East Coast5. Manage a quality assurance staff of five6. Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EH&S) regulations7. Ensure training and employee awareness of EH&S
REQUIREMENTS
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:-BS Degree in Technical Field (Preferably Electronics)-CQM or CQE-5 or more years experience within a military electronics manufacturing and assembly environment-Have led an organization through on-going ISO9001:2000 compliance activities-Be currently knowledgeable with US Military quality regulations and practices J-STD-001-Be able to drive necessary change within an organization of diverse population and commitment-Be an effective communicator with good presentation skills-Microsoft Office and Access-TRAVEL - to Customers and Suppliers - including trips to Canada and Mexico. Must have valid drivers license to allow local travel
