QCHAT - Server Software Engineer - C/C++

Job Area: Project/Product ManagementRole: The QUALCOMM User Experience Group (QUE) is seeking a usability design professional to lead the usability effort in their San Diego offices. We are looking for a tireless user advocate that posses broad usability knowledge and experience with a variety of methods and techniques. As usability lead you will work with interaction designers, visual designers and product managers to create satisfying, useful, and innovative mobile applications and services. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting studies on mobile devices.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Experience: 5+ years experience in the technology industry designing and conducting usability studies (both field work and iterative lab studies)
Thorough knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field methods and data analysis are required.
Interpret, present and package findings to diverse audiences.
Successful management of usability lab facility.
Other research skills such as survey design, focus group techniques, participatory design are highly desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essentialEducation Requirements: B.S./M.S. in HCI, usability engineering, cognitive science or other related field.
