Job Duties & Responsibilities:
A position is available in the Cell Banking and Characterization Group within Cell and Molecular Sciences/Drug Substance Development. The successful candidate will assume significant responsibility for developing and using cGMP systems for commercial and clinical cell banking, clinical cell bank storage, and cell bank stability testing. Duties include:
Cell culture to support cGMP Master and Working Cell Banks
Cell Banking Suite support (stocking of supplies, routine sanitization of equipment)
cGMP cell bank storage, including equipment and inventory
Intellectual and technical input into improvements (operational, regulatory and compliance) into cell banking operations and cell bank storage
Participation in investigations pertaining to cell banking and cell bank storage.
Coordinates with support groups (Validation, Calibration, QA/DQU QC, DSS) for all aspects of compliant operations for all cGMP cell banks.
Author/review/approve SOPs, batch records, and all associated cell banking documentation including technical reports and memos, and sections of Wyeth BioPharma regulatory filings that pertain to cGMP cell banking.
Requirements
B.S. in Biology, Microbiology, or related field plus 4 years experience, or M.S. with 2 years experience. Strong cGMP background preferred. Cell culture experience a plus, but willing to train. Good documentation skills as well as attention to detail are required qualities in the successful candidate.
Position commensurate with level of experience.
