Managesand executes the Training Program for Toxicology and Analytical studies.
Maintains and reviews training files for the entire department.
Assures that department staff are trained and proficient in all appropriate areas of Quality Assurance.
Coordinates training for new staff in the operational areas as applicable to ensure understanding of lab work performed
Coordinates and/or performs cross training.
Makes decisions and completes projects proactively and with minimal supervision.
Develops, plans and provides training (hands-on and classroom) to new employees entering the department
Ensures that training of new and existing staff is consistent, thorough, and documented through Certification Records or other form as needed
Evaluates the skill competency levels within the department and provides training as needs are identified.
Supports, complies with, and enforces compliance with all SOP's and Policies and Procedures.
Serves as a liaison between the department and outside educational institutions.
Develops and coordinates company wide training programs as appropriate.
Coordinates staff continuing education programs.
Performs peer reviews.
Inputs data into and ensures maintenance of the department training database.
Maintains, reviews, and updates the department training manual as needed.
Evaluates new training techniques and systems.
Coordinates GLP and GMP training programs.Qualifications
Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree
Experience may be substituted for education. For example, a two-year Associate degree plus 2 years applicable experience may be substituted for a BS/BA degree2 years of auditing and/or training development experience with a BS/BA degree.
Six Sigma greenbelt training preferred
Ability to effectively interact with clients and regulatory personnel and conduct effective training sessions.
Ability to perform intermediate/advanced computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Minitab)
Ability to effectively negotiate ideas and suggestions.
Proven organization, observation, and problem solving skills.
Skilled in concise writing
