Production Test Technician III

Company: REMEC Defense & Space This position will perform testing and/or tuning of radio frequency (RF) and microwave hardware to exact specifications following established test procedures. Primary duties include:
Conduct in-process and final electronic verification testing of electronic components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies using RF and electronics test equipment (e.g. power meter, network/scaler analyzer, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and function generator)

Tune and align circuitry into specification compliance by adjusting and modifying circuit elements

Set-up and calibrate test stations and check calibration dates on all equipment weekly

Troubleshoot to the component level

Write Engineering Changes Orders (ECO’s) & rework instructions

Perform mechanical assembly of intricate RF and microwave components

Maintain test documentation

Champion parts from engineering to production

Prototype new designs under direction of Engineering Dept
Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent, and experience typically gained through 3-5 years working with electronics
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electronic skills
Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
Attention to detail
Basic troubleshooting skills
Intermediate understanding of S-parameters and RF theory
Intermediate knowledge of MRP systems preferred
Working to intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
