Process Coordinator
Purpose: Large Scale Process Coordinator / Project Manager
The Project Manager supports the Large Scale Cell Culture functional area by:
overseeing the coordination of all large processes (100L, 400L, 1K and SUB), facilitating 360 feedback between PD Researchers and pilot plant staff, ensuring all experiment specific materials are communicated, ordered and or prepared, applying best practices in utilizing appropriate phases of project management process to drive complex projects to successful completion, representing the Pilot Plant organizations on I-Teams, managing the construction and delivery of Technical Transfer Packages for Early Stage processes, communicating daily operational updates, leading and participating in continuous process improvement efforts.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a single point of contact for all experiment coordination (in partnership with Technician Coordinators).
- Collect experiment requirements including, but not limited to, production scheduling and staffing, equipment, raw materials, and documentation.
- Work closely with Early and Late Stage researchers, Technician coordinators, Media Prep, PD Facilities, Technical Operations, and all Operations staff optimize team effectiveness and decision making.
- Plan and coordinate experimental meetings including attendance, agendas and minutes; help facilitate and keep meetings on track.
- Participate in Process Development Harvest Team, oversee the Harvest Database project (implementation, control, and training)
- Create and drive timelines to keep process improvement projects on schedule. Follow up on action items as appropriate.
- Proactively identify potential issues in experiment plan or design, and assist team in developing resolution.
- Assist in creating controlled documents (SOP/Tickets).
- Inform key stakeholders of project milestones, plans, status, and decisions through regular reporting and communication.
- Send out Daily updates on Large Scale operations and forecast upcoming events.
- Develop production requirements throughout December/January holiday periods. Work with Large Scale leadership to develop effective plan that matches staffing levels with production demands.
- Partner with Media Prep supervisor to help manage inventory control.
- Participate in Cell Culture Harmonization Team.
- Collect feedback, compile suggestions, and suggest corrective actions needed to management.
- Recognize and nominate staff for going above and beyond the expectations
