PROJECT MANAGER, LEAN - Quality
The Project Manager, LEAN - Quality will organize, lead and facilitate projects focused on improvement in Customer experience and drive the reduction of technical support calls from customers related to products in our Information Platforms Business Group. Driving down the number of customer calls is the litmus test for success using Lean Enterprise Six Sigma Technologies. Your key responsibilities will be to work together with Service, Manufacturing, Hardware and Software Engineering and Quality to establish root cause of the customer complaints and lead the multi-functional team in implementing corrective and preventative actions. Must be able to motivate and influence internal organizations to participate in the problem solving process.Projects will primarily be focused around the identification and correction of root cause. You will lead and support projects that resolve product quality, reliability, application, and performance issues. You will identify and document significant quality improvement projects based on quality problems identified through prior investigations.
The Lean efforts around this product line are part of a company-wide Lean "showcase"; visibility and opportunities for success are both very high.This position is located in Milwaukee, WI, with 25% travel - mostly between Milwaukee, WI and Cleveland, OH.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSo Bachelor's degree. Prefer degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
o 7-10 years experience in Technical Support role in Industrial Applications environment
o Knowledgeable of Windows, Networking
o Hardware and Software technical skills allowing for detailed analysis of customer support issues on PVP products
o Hands on ability to interact with quality information systems to produce actionable information from available data
o Business acumen as an enabler and change agent to interact with cross-functional teams
o Strong project management skills using six sigma methodologies to produce successful resultsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSo Green Belt or Black Belt certified
o Knowledgeable of Rockwell Automation Human Machine Interface products; Panel View Products and VVCE. Ability to configure and operate all aspects of the product from a user's perspective.
