Summary:
This position is responsible for managing and delivering Manufacturing Applications for the Battery Division. The position requires a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of requests, quickly mediate between competing priorities, and interact with IT, contractors, and Business management.

The Manufacturing Systems Project Manager needs to have demonstrated ability of working with manufacturing functionality of ERP and other systems including inventory management, production scheduling, order processing, and logistics.

This position is extremely collaborative and requires a confident and competent person who leads by example; someone who continually raises the bar on quality, design, attitude, enthusiasm, and accountability. The position requires a strong self-starter who can deliver consistently at a tactical level. Strong communications and administrative skills are a must. This is considered a leadership position and as such the person chosen must demonstrate the ability to be promoted into positions of greater authority.

Responsibilities:
Project Management:
•Manage multiple systems projects simultaneously. Prioritize projects and tasks in order to achieve department and company objectives
•Prepare project management deliverables including Statements of work, Status reports, Budgets and Staffing plans.
•Ensure adherence to Company standards and methodologies
•Manage budget and resources from IT, Business Users, Offshore, and Vendors
•Conduct meetings and present to various management levels. Ensure effective communication through written and verbal methods

Analyst:
•Ensure customer acceptance by soliciting their input on requirements, design and testing validation. Design and train users in changes to business processes
•Recommend the implementation of technology to support the company's objectives. Develop strategies, techniques, and standards for systems and interfaces
•Work with other team members to prepare Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, Testing Plans and other documentation as required by the Systems Development Lifecycle
•Manage development of and provide support for application systems

Other:
•Remain knowledgeable of information technology and company business operations. Recommend the implementation of technology to support the company's objectives
•Act as a mentor for analysts in the department and provides guidance and counseling to them through quarterly performance reviews and through daily interactive feedback
•Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Director, Business Applications Development and the VP of IT
•Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS or comparable field
•5 to 10 years experience in IT
•Experience in project management with structured methodology background, project scoping with objectives, delivering on tight deadlines and estimating resource and budget requirements
•Experience working with manufacturing functionality of ERP and other manufacturing systems
•Experience working with inventory management, production scheduling, order processing and logistics
•Experience working with QAD/MFGPro is a plus
