Manufacturing Quality Manager

The job -
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Quality Manager to provide leadership and guide our manufacturing teams in China in the development, maintenance and improvement of all quality systems.

Job Description:
•Travel to China (approximately two weeks out of every month) to visit company offices, factories and suppliers.
•Provide quality function leadership. Develop employees and instill continuous improvement.
•Participation in the establishment and implementation of quality specifications, testing procedures and standards for raw materials and finished products.
•Develop and recommend inspection/sampling techniques and quality control plans. Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meet quality specifications and standards.
•Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications to products or quality standards where warranted. Assure data is formulated into useable information and communicated to the management staff.
•Assist vendors in establishing inspection standards to meet the company's quality requirements and confer with vendors on specific quality problems.
•Provide technical assistance to the purchasing department with regard to the purchase of raw materials, supplies and equipment.
•Review complaints or warranty claims received to determine where quality control emphasis should be placed at the plant to eliminate problems.
•Ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
•Establish and manage departmental budget and assist in the development of long-range goals and objectives.

Qualifications –
•4 year degree required, BS Mechanical or other technical engineering degree desired.
•5 years’ manufacturing management/quality control experience.
•ASQ certified.
•Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
•Excellent organization skills.
•High integrity.
