Select Comfort, Minnesota-based Creator of the Sleep Number® Bed and the nation's #1 ranked bedding retailer for each of the past 6 years running (Furniture Today, 2000-2005), is seeking a Manager of Testing and Measurement for our corporate headquarter offices in Plymouth.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to Select Comfort’s success through quality test design, test implementation, and interpretation of test results.
Manage all marketing tests, including market-based tests, in-store tests, and mail tests. Typical testing includes: Advertising tests, promotional tests, pricing tests, mailer format tests.
Assist clients to define test objectives, key metrics, and test parameters. Assure that tests are planned and executed to maximize confidence in the results. Assist clients to define thresholds for decisions in advance of the test.
Employ statistical methods to assure test groups are representative, such that test results can be replicated in a companywide roll-out.
Employ statistical methods to measure the confidence of test results. Educate test initiators on the importance of statistical significance of results.
Interpret test results, and provide recommendations to test initiators and senior executives
Research and define best practices for mail tests, in-store tests, and market-based tests.
Apply statistical methods to other project analyses to improve corporate decision-making.
Assist other analysts to implement statistical measures in their project work.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree, preferably in quantitative field
Masters Degree in quantitative field preferred
5+ years in testing & measurement or data analysis role
Experience employing statistical methods for problem solving and decision-making, including confidence measures and regression analysis
Knowledge of databases, sales analysis, customer analysis
Experience with data analysis tools (SAS, SPSS, Access)
Experience with SQL programming
May have formal and informal supervisory responsibilities.
Substantial collaboration with other departments, particularly Marketing and Sales
Provide guidance to other analysts in the course of their analytical work
